Social Discord Bots

Profiles, marriages, reputation and other member-to-member features.

0 bots listed.

Social bots add the member-to-member layer: profiles, reputation, marriages, badges, friendship systems. They give people something to do with each other rather than with the bot.

Choosing a social bot

What to check first

  • Whether profiles are per-server or global. Global profiles carry reputation earned somewhere you cannot see.
  • What reputation can be spent on, if anything, and whether it can be given more than once to the same person.
  • Moderation controls: profile text is user-written content on a public page, and somebody will test that.
  • Whether the profile card is an image (slow, pretty) or an embed (fast, plain).

Reputation systems live or die on their limits. Unlimited reputation with no cooldown becomes two people trading points back and forth within a day; a daily limit and a rule against reciprocal giving keeps the number meaning roughly what it looks like it means. Check what the bot enforces before assuming it enforces anything.

Profile text is the part to think about twice. Anything a member can write, another member can read, and a bot with no filtering and no report path hands you a moderation problem shaped like a feature. The good ones let you clear a profile as a moderator; the better ones log it when you do.

These bots overlap heavily with leveling and economy bots, and often the same bot does all three. If you already run one of those, look there first — a single profile carrying level, currency and reputation reads better than three separate cards.
